No fewer than six persons, were reportedly involved in a fatal road accident, along the ever-busy Ibadan-Oyo Expressway, on Monday.
DAILYPOST reports that the incident, which occurred at about 12:15pm, on Monday, involved a trailer and a taxi. Reports revealed that the accident left two injured and four dead.
TALKNOW gathered that the trailer, had reportedly rammed into the taxi, near an overhead bridge in Akinyele area of Ibadan. However, an eye witness (name withheld) told newsmen that the incident, was as a result of the trailers break failure.
Subsequently, the corpses of the deceased had been deposited at the State Hospital in Adeoyo. The injured, who suffered major injuries, are also receiving treatment in the same hospital.
Confirming the incident, the Oyo State Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, spokesperson, Mr Seun Onijala, revealed that some operatives, had been dispatched to the scene as at press time.
Additionally, Onijala assured that normalcy would be returned within hours, urging motorists not to panic about the traffic situation.
